Week 1. Ru turns 7!

That means a perfect time to start making my once a week post which I promised myself way back on New Years I would do lol.
So, betterlatethennever week 1.

My baby, my first baby is 7! Our little 4 leaf clover.
That. Feels. Weird.
She is amazing too. Just read her first book, and learned to snowboard. She is sweet and cuddly, she loves her sisters a ton, she also is a huge good ball.

We already had a joint surprise party for the big girls at the bowling alley. So on Ru's special day we just chilled. I woke her up with mint hot coco in bed and the story of her birth (which of course left me a blubbering mess) We surprised her with house decorations for St.Patties day just like she wanted and had a nice day hanging out eating sweets and playing with new toys!

I am the worlds worst blogger

SERIOUSLY. I have 4 blogs and I never post. I WANT to post. I just don't make time. So I am going to start. Seriously. I mean it this time! At least once a month, I can handle that right? Now I just need to consolidate to post on 1 blog........which to pick......

Jamaica!

In March we went to Jamaica with Grant's parents and brother. I was a great time! Despite the stomach flu we suffered from for a day or 2 it was a BLAST. It was nice to get all the time with his family. The girls had so much fun in the sand and sea! The fish, the crabs, the coconuts, the pretty tropical flowers. Ru still talks about Jamaica at least once a week and packs her bags to go there. Her favorite saying is "I love you all the way to Jamaica"

The plane trip was rough we missed our first flight and Lu started puking in the last hour of the plane ride eek! When we got there even though it was 1 am we went for a walk and Ru needed to check out the sand,first ocean experience and some big waves

Birthday girls!

Someday, I hope to get better at updating. How do you ladies do it? Yeah, you-with the 4 kids and an amazing blog that is updated at least weekly???? Sigh....I also want to scrapbook-I went to the scrapbook sale at joann's and got books, paper, stickers ect. I wonder how long it will sit untouched.
I want more children but sometimes I wonder how on earth I will have time for it? To be an in touch mother, to cook, to clean (and I don't mean spotless I mean livable clean) to teach, to sew, to relax.........How does one fit all this in? Even with 2 sometimes I feel like the treadmill is going way too fast.

Ok enough of my pondering lets get to the good stuff! The girls had a birthday party and it was a blast! Ru helped me make some gluten free/vegan goodies, we even made pink frosting with coconut oil and shreds mmmmm





I didn't realize how much work planning a kids party was! After baking, sewing outfits, sending invites. It was worth it though, the girls looked precious and had tons of fun! Here are some party shots:











It went so fast and its hard to believe Lu is going on 14 months come April 10th! She hit some big milestones in the past four months, started walking full time the beginning of Jan (10.5 months) She has 8 teeth now and 4 more on the way. She started kissing and hugging and her and Ru spend lots of time doing this and jumping on the bed at night. She has more words everyday! I'd say its about 25 at this point and when I am not rushed I WILL make a list. She pooped in the potty last week and has been very interested in potty etiquette for the past month. We will see where it leads....Her favorites right now are babies, stuffed animals, water, books and making music. I am in awe that she is already starting to pretend play a little and she loves making animal noises!She is just the sweetest and we are all smitten with her cuddly and inquisitive personality!

Holiday

We are finally back at home!

We left on the 20th for Minoqua to spend some time with family and Ru's best friend cousin. The girls had a blast together-hope someday we can live closer. Our hotel was the cutest, coziest ever. Even had a jacuzzi tub which we made good use out of. We need one of those. I never knew how much fun a giant bath full of bubbles and my family could be!
We did a simple solstice in our hotel room and Ru was very excited to see mother winter filled her stocking!

We went back to my parents house to get my brother but his flight was delayed, instead we got him the next morning. We had fun but 2 weeks flew by. We did the whole x-mas thing, presents, merriment, drinking, friends, talking, then all of a sudden it was New Years. We all rang in the New Year-first time our family was all together for a new years since we were kids! There was also a wolf man in my basement......but that's a whole different story.







When we left Uncle Wes at the airport Ru cried and said "I just will miss him soooooooo much" it totally pulls at my heart strings now that she is old enough to get that we LOVE someone and the live FAR away and we don't get to see him everyday. We left the airport crying and I thought someday......my kids will be bringing each other to the airport.....someday......It blows my mind to think of them as adults and I am doing my best to soak in every drop of them before they are.





Ru also really wants to go on a plane to visit uncle W. We are going to start saving pennies to go visit San Francisco soon!
The girls are happy to be home and Ru has been having fun playing with all the toys she missed and having alone time. Lu is growing up faster then I can stand. She started using 5 new signs while we were away (waving, ball, drink, music and play)and her cognitive skills are amazing me! She has gotten so good at stacking, coloring, using nesting toys, enjoying books and the like. She also got 2 new teeth, a top and a bottom. I am in shock she turns 1 next month!

10 months

I cannot believe it but my baby is 10 months old!

I am so in love with her. So in love.


A list of things about her as she is now:
*Learning how to walk but still prefers the faster method of crawling
*Into putting things in things and taking them out. Her favorite toy right now is a glass baby food jar and 2 tiny cat toy balls-they go in and out a gazzilion times.
*Started trying to imitate words a lot more. Her vocabulary is growing!
*Pointing. Loves it. Points at everything and expects a reaction.
*So cuddly. Sigh. I could just eat her.
*Clucks her tongue when ever she wants what you have, especially when its food.
*Working on getting in 6 teeth!
*Loves to crawl up and down stairs.
*So musical still, loves anything that has to do with music, keeping a beat/rhythm, anything that makes neat sounds.

I wish I would have started this when she was born as I had intended but life gets crazy busy with these littles.
